§       Elected by the representational membership of the unit 

Duties
§       Members of the Board of Directors 
§       Chair and Member of the Regional Steering Committee
§       Preside over monthly Regional Unit meetings
§       Represent Chapter and profession as appropriate 
§       Serve on committees as requested by the President
§       Interpret Board policies and decisions to membership
§      Represent the issues and concerns of constituency, and advocate in their best interest
§      Represent Chapter and profession as appropriate 
§      Develop regional programming
§        Develop program units in the Regional Unit
§  Coordinate programming with other regions

Expectations
§  Participate in NASW activities
§  Attend all Board meetings
§  Oversee Regional implementation of state and national priorities and goals
§  Identify potential leadership candidates
§  Prepare articles for the NASW Missouri News Journal
§  Conduct the business of the Chapter in accordance with Chapter bylaws
§  Participate in decision-making process to fulfill the mission of the chapter

Qualifications
§       Member of NASW
§       Active in NASW at the regional and state level

Time Commitment
§       Moderate - five hours per week
