Ethical Consultations

Ethics consultations are a Member Only Benefit.  As a member, you can phone the national office for consultation of your ethical dilemma.  Please make sure to have your Membership Identification Number available when you contact the national office ethics department at 1.800.638.8799 ext. 231 as they will ask for this information at the intake of the phone call.  The hotline is staffed on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. EST to 1:00 p.m. EST and Thursday 1:00 p.m. EST to 4:00 p.m. EST.  If you do not have your membership identification number available, please visit the online Member Center at https://www.socialworkers.org/login.asp?ms=restr&ref=%2Fmembercenter%2Fdefault%2Easp click the "Update Member Profile" box and obtain your membership profile information which has your number or call the NASW national office membership department at 800.742.4089 or e-mail at membership@naswdc.org.   

If you have NASW's Assurance Services, social work malpractice insurance, you may also contact them at 1.800.421.6694.  If you don't have NASW's Assurance Services, contact the state licensing board at 573.751.0885 or your carrier.
